Hello everybody! Welcome to my first blog post on my main blog for 2016! I am so excited to see what will happen this year and I can't wait to share it all with you! Now to get started with this post! I've decided to put together a post about going Back to School since most people are going back to school soon, if they are not already back! I have tried my best to choose products and clothing that are not too expensive and online websites that ship to most countries! Whether you currently go to school or not, I hope you enjoy this post!
"Natural Beauty" Essentials
Rules about makeup and nail polish really differ between schools, so it can be hard to give general tips. At my school here in Australia, we aren't supposed to wear makeup, but I obviously do because duh, I love makeup! Even if makeup is allowed at your school, I always think a natural look is always best. Believe it or not, the "no makeup look" is one of the hardest to achieve! I have experimented and tried some products and found some really great products to achieve a really nice, easy natural look.
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
This BB cream is perfect for the makeup wearer who likes a light coverage one day and heavier the next. It works really well for most skin types and also works well with other products layered on top.
Chi Chi Timeless Eyeshadow Palette
If you are looking for the palette with the perfect mix of natural daytime shades and darker evening shades, this is perfect! It blends perfectly, has awesome pigmentation and is affordable!
Smashbox Lipgloss in Coquette
Whether you are wanting to layer this over a balm, lipstick or just wear it by itself, this is a wonderful colour and consistency! It is a little bit more expensive than a drugstore lipgloss, but you get quite a good amount of product and it lasts for a decent amount of time.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Shore Enough
If you are allowed to wear nail polish to school, again I think natural is best for all year round wear. I've mentioned this polish a few times both on my main blog, More D&D and on my Instagram. I love the colour and it stays on without chipping for quite awhile!
Outfit Ideas That Fit School Requirements
At my school, we have a uniform and pretty strict dress code rules to go with it, so I don't really have an opportunity to put together outfits on a daily basis. So, I did some research on the usual dress code rules in different countries and put together some outfits for all seasons!
Boohoo Blue Debbi Mid Rise 5 Pocket Skinny Jeans $30.00
New Look Geo Dip Back Grandad Shirt $30.00
Lace Espadrille Cream $21.00 (currently on sale for $10.50!)
Yasmin Tonal Floral Box Pleat Skater Skirt $28.00 (on sale for $20!)
New Look Pointelle Rib Turtleneck $19.00 (left) OR New Look Ribbed Crop Top $15.00 (right)
Chuck Taylor Allstars White $70.00
Dressy/Smart Casual Outfit
Vero Moda Kimono Sleeve Jersey Dress $30.00
Alice Elastic Insert Flat Chelsea Boot $50.00
Tips For Time Management
Whether you are at school, uni, work or none of the above, its important to manage your time and be organised. For this post, I've put together a few small points on time management that anyone can use!
Get a planner or diary
I think this one is pretty obvious! I personally prefer a monthly planner, but its totally up to you! One of my personal favourite stores is KiKi K. They have an online store that ships to a lot of countries. I picked up this planner from KiKi K for $10 and I love it.
If you choose to pickup a planner, I think its really fun to put it up somewhere and make it look nice.
I chose to put mine on a cork board on my desk with some fairy lights, a sample card of my favourite perfume and a picture of me and my best friend.
If you are a person who is on the go a lot or just prefers technology, finding a good planner app is essential. I have tried a few and found my two favourites.
The HW App
The Homework App is awesome for anyone at school or university. It lets you add your subjects and tasks and show them on a timeline. It is super easy to use, is visually appealing and free!
This is a perfect app for anybody! It has a calendar feature where you can see the month set out and a page for a to-do list. Its free and easy to use.
And thats all for now! Hope you enjoyed this post!
