Summer Essentials: Bronzers, Blushes and Eyeshadows, My Go - To Summer Outfit and My Favourite Beaches
Hello! Since summer is now upon us here in Australia, I thought it would be perfect to do a summer essentials post! This blog post is going to include some bronzers, blushes and eyeshadows that I think are perfect to achieve a beautiful bronze, sun kissed summer look! I am also sharing the perfect summer outfit, from Boohoo.com! And last, but not least, I will share my favourite beaches that I highly recommend visiting. Enjoy!
I think the best way to achieve a sun kissed summer look is to use bronzer, blush and the perfect eyeshadows. I've put together a few of my favourite options for these three things that I own, and a few that are on my wishlist!
My favourite bronzer to use in the summer is my ModelsPrefer Mineral Powder Soft Touch in Bronze. It so smooth and quite pigmented, especially for the price! You can apply it as heavily as you would like, but I usually like to do quite a sleek, subtle bronzer.
You can find this bronzer for $17:
Some amazing bronzers on my summer makeup wishlist are:
Physicians Formula Glow - Boosting Season to Season Bronzer $29.95
Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil $30.00
Chantecaille Radiance Gel Bronzer $56.00
I think blush is an essential to a perfect summer makeup look! Adding the little bit of colour and shimmer makes you look so much more alive and summery! I LOVE my Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll, its so smooth and, as the name says, silky! The thing I like most about it is that you can really control how much you want on your skin. Personally, I think there is a line between not enough pigment and too much pigment. I think this is the perfect blush if you are somebody who likes lighter blush sometimes and darker other times.
Find the bronzer for only $2.99:
Some blushes on my Summer makeup wishlist are:
Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Berry $30.00
Maybelline Hi-Light by Face Studio Hi-Lighting Blush in Pink Rose $19.95
The Wolves Collection Ella Cheek Shade $40.00
I've mentioned this eyeshadow palette before on my blog and instagram, but I just love it! It is the ModelsPrefer Nude Eyeshadow Palette. It contains 10 neutral shades, some matte and some sparkly. The pigment is actually not too bad considering the price. The particular shade I want to feature is Golden. Its so lovely and I think its the perfect summer shade.
Some eyeshadows on my summer makeup wishlist are:
Bobbi Brown Rich Caramel Eye Palette $85.00
Find this palette:
Stila Jewel Eye Shadow in Rose Quartz $20.00
I actually love all the shades!
I think everyone needs at least one staple, go to outfit in summer. Whether its the perfect dress or combo of a skirt and top, its a must have. Along with some help from boohoo.com, I've picked out my staple summer outfit for this year!
I've picked out:
The Boutique Evie Denim Bralet
The Naraya Jersey Flippy Shorts
The Lara Half Frame Sunglasses
And this is the outfit all together!

For my summer essentials, I thought I would share a few of my favourite beaches. They are all so gorgeous, and if you can, I highly recommend you visit them!
Stradbroke is probably one of my favourite places I've ever been. The beaches are hidden throughout the mountains, its so gorgeous!
When I went a day trip with my family a couple of months ago, we started off doing a lovely walk through the mountain paths that look over into the ocean. The view is just beautiful, perfect for pictures and a picnic.
One of the best places for pictures and views is just across the road from a strip of restaurants and a gorgeous ice cream shop. I highly recommend grabbing a yummy ice cream and settling down on the grass to admire the view!
While we were walking along the road, looking for a place to grab some lunch, we found this hidden gem of a beach! We were the only people on the beach, meaning we had the whole beach to ourselves. We spent a while on the beach but then some storm clouds started coming over (everyday life in Australia) so we moved off to go get lunch.
I went to Airlie Beach last year when I went on a cruise. It was so beautiful!
The port where we got off the boat was so gorgeous! The water was so blue and the weather was marvellous.
The entry to the beach is located amongst the shops and restaurants, its kinda like a hidden gem.
I'm not sure about the beach at other times of the year, but when we went the water was quite still and flat. It was just gorgeous! I actually purchased one of my favourite rings from a little market stall on the beach.
This last beach is also from when I went on my cruise. This was actually a little island on the Great Barrier Reef. We got off the cruise at Port Douglas and moved off onto our day trip on the Low Isles. It was GORGEOUS!
As you can see, this beach was a little busier than the others but it was still gorgeous.
As this little island had the Great Barrier Reef surrounding it, we went snorkelling! It was so beautiful, I wish I could go back.
This is a zoomed in, kinda blurry picture of the island as we were leaving on the boat.
And that is it for this blog post! Thank you to boohoo.com for sending me some clothes to share! Hope you all enjoyed this post, because I sure enjoyed making it!
